Mary Sue Giesinger Mock

Mary Sue Giesinger Mock was born November 18, 1921 in Montgomery, Texas. She passed away June 14, 2006 in Dobbin, Texas. Mary was 84 years young, and a lifetime resident and businesswoman of Dobbin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Mock, her parents Lawrence and Dora Winslow, and her beloved granddaughter Kelly Mock Phillips and her two brothers Johnnie and Edgar Giesinger and sister Betty Winslow Martin. Mary owned and ran Mock’s Grocery for 42 years with her beloved husband who has preceded her in death Leo Mock. Her sons Thomas (Mickey) and Kenny Mock took over the business and Mock’s Grocery still thrives 70 years later. Mary was a vivacious woman who was respected by everyone and who never met a stranger and never turned any one down who needed help. She truly believed in helping the people of Dobbin and Montgomery. She taught her children and grandchildren a keen sense of humor, how to make a living and how to help people in need. The family would like to thank Mike and Michelle Mock and their children for the wonderful care and love that they administered to Mary for the last six years of her life. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville. Mary is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Paul West; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Sharon Mock; Leo, Jr. and Linda Mock, and Kenny and Suzie Mock. Grandchildren: Monte and Kim West, Kevin West, Jeffery West, Mike and Michelle Mock, Kari Mock, Blake Mock, Jennie and Clint Bennett, Ken and Jamie Mock, Lee and Julie Mock, Corbin Mock, and Lindley Mock. Great grandchildren: Lacy, Megan, and Ryan West, Jacob and Garrett West, Brittany, Kaycee, and Taylor West, Lauren and Trace Mock, Paige, Fallon, Colton, Wyatt Pavelicek, Frankie Phillips, Cade Mock and Aubrey Mock. She is also survived by her sweet sister Dolly Heintz and her sisters-in-law, Earline Giesinger, and Imogene Giesinger and special niece Diane Martin Rich. Pallbearers will be Kevin, Monte, and Jeff West Lee Mock, Ken Mock, Mike and Blake Mock The rosary will be held in the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Montgomery on June 15 at 7:00pm. with Father Ed Kucera officiating The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville at 10:00 am Friday July 16 with Father Ed Kucera officiating.
