Marcella "Marcy" Lee Bradley

Marcella “Marcy” Lee Bradley unexpectantly passed away on September 29, 2018 at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Marcy was born November 21, 1944 in Helena, Montana as the second child to Filmore and Wanda Lee (Christy) Bradley. She graduated from Billings West High School in 1963. She earned a Mathematics degree from the University of Colorado Denver, with esteem honors of Summa Cum Laude, being second in her class. Marcy was a versatile employee, working at various and varied occupations; including doing alumni relations for the foundation of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, finding jobs for the homeless at the Samaritan House Homeless Shelter in Denver, being a tour guide for the Denver Ports of Call, working at the Riverbridge Resale & Consignment shop in Conroe, Texas and assisting with the publications at St. John’s Retreat Center & Church in Montgomery, Texas and she most recently volunteered with the April Sound Ladies Association of Montgomery, Texas. Marcy loved to shop, travel, visit family in Montana and having adventures; including gambling excursions with her friends. She was a beautiful woman who had a flare for fashion. With both being accompanied by their bosses, In 1995, Marcy met the love of her life on the stairs, while working at Sunshine Master Builders in Denver. She said the “sparks flew” for the kindest, most gentle man she had ever met, Art Irlando. In 2000, the two of them were married in Bear Creek Lake Park in Denver, Colorado. Marcy is survived by her husband, Art, of Montgomery, Texas. She was a committed and loving mother to her son, Brad Blaylock (Bernadette Lingo) of Marble Falls, Texas and her daughter, Becky Waggoner of Denver, Colorado. As a dedicated grandmother, Marcy adored her grandchildren Josh and Emmalee Waggoner. She will be missed by her step sons, Mark and Paul Irlando, both of Brooklyn, New York. Marcy is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Burns of Butte, Montana and her brother, Jim (Tami) Bradley of Billings, Montana as well as nephews Bob (Patti) Burns and Gene (Robin) Burns and their families, and Philip and Nathan Bradley. Also surviving are her nieces, Christy (Elias) Elias, Mandy (Gregg) Peterson, Terri (Richard) Hanley and their families, and her many good friends. Even though her medical care was brief, Marcy’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Houston Methodist Hospital. Friends and family may celebrate Marcy’s life at Noon on Wednesday, October 3rd at St. John’s Retreat Center, St. John’s Retreat Center and Church, 2615 St. Beulah Chapel Road, Montgomery, TX. 77316.
