Garret Mathew Ellisor

Garret Mathew Ellisor, 29 of Point Blank, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2024. Garret was born on January 9, 1995, to Mathew “Buster” Ray Ellisor, II, and Josette Trantham in Huntsville, Texas. A proud veteran, Garret served in the United States Navy. He found joy in nature, whether he was fishing, hunting, or simply adventuring outdoors. Known for his warm and sincere hugs, Garret was always eager to lend a hand to anyone in need. Garret had an extraordinary musical talent, delighting in singing with his father and family. His enthusiasm for sharing random facts was contagious, often sparking lighthearted conversations. Ever the creator, he was constantly engrossed in new projects, and his yodels could bring anyone to tears with their beauty. In 2016, Garret welcomed his first child, Mathew Ray Ellisor, with Brenna McLerran Piper. His life took a further turn when he met Haylee Adams Ellisor in 2021. The couple married in 2023, and together they were blessed with two children, Rhiannon Kay Ellisor born in 2023 and Delilah Faye Ellisor born in 2024. Garret was predeceased by his grandparents, Debra and Anthony Goodney, Ann and Ray Ellisor, and Gary Moles. He is survived by his loving wife and children, his parents Josette and Ray Trantham, and Tish and Buster Ellisor. He also leaves behind his great-grandmother, Evelyn Pfeffer, his grandmother, Rebecca Moles, grandfather, David Plaunty, grandmother Mary Plaunty, grandfather Frank Trantham, and siblings Emmet Ellisor, Taylor and Bella Hamilton, Tessa Hamilton, Tanner Hamilton, Evie Stassi, Samantha Trantham, Preston and Alfa Trantham, Chucky Trantham, and Melba Trantham. Garret's memory will also be cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home on September 5, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place the following morning, September 6, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Riverside Pioneer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Point Blank or Riverside volunteer fire department, or to any local fire station.
