Almeda Rose Springer

Almeda Springer went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 14, 2021, at the age of 86. She was born July 24, 1935 in Spring, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, GB Springer, her son Gregory Bruce Springer, parents Frank and Rosa Haude, brothers Frank and Henry Haude. Almeda is survived by her daughters Sherry Lynn Ritter and Shania Renee Springer, daughter-in-law Teresa Springer and numerous relatives and friends. Grandchildren: Jeremy Ritter & wife Christina, Kellie Jo Kibby, Jona Baum and Joni Gregory & husband Steven Great Grandchildren: Lexi & Jaycie Gregory, Kayla Baum, Drake, Jase & Avery Kibby and Eeva Ritter. They each were the light of her life and center of her world. Almeda grew up in Spring (Klein) and was baptized and confirmed at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church Westfield. She graduated from Klein High School and business school. She and GB married at St. Matthews Lutheran Church and began their life together in Spring. She was a devoted wife that loved and cared for GB for their 65 years together. We know they are now back together, dancing and holding hands in Heaven. Her life was centered around her church and family. Her greatest treasures in life where her children, grandchildren and great grand-babies. Almeda was the matriarch of her extended family. Once she knew you, you were family. Many generations called her Mom, NanNaw, Aunt and Mrs. Almeda. Her daughters knew she was always "mother enough" to share with everyone that needed her love and care. She was a bonus Mom and Grandma to many. Any time you were around her or talked with her you felt her love, kindness and the warmth of home. She had a gracious and heartwarming smile. She was a sweet, gentle soul. She was small, but fierce. Almeda had a sharp, quick wit. She remained active and learning: playing 42, taking classes, visiting the library, and attending the Grandpersons Center daily. She maintained and honored her lifelong friendships and loved to visit with everyone. She mastered texting, facetime, and her iPhone, so she could keep up with all of us- all generations. So many have told us how blessed they were to be loved by her. Our hearts are broken, but we know she lived a very full, Christ centered life and now rests in her heavenly home. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00pm and memorial services will begin at 3:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Huntsville, TX.
