January 28, 1956 - December 31, 2021
Tina Marie Ainsworth (65) of Huntsville, Tx was called Home and made whole on Dec 31, 2021. She was surrounded in love by her children, her favorite blanket & music, and holding the hand of her husband of 42 years. Tina was born to David & Verla Barron on January 28, 1956 in Houston, TX. In September 1977 she met the love of her life, Martey, at Sam Houston State University. They wed on May 5, 1979. Tina longed to be a mother ever since she was a young child. She always felt her highest calling in life was nurturing her children and growing a strong family unit. This also included extending that mother's love to lots of friends of her children. The door was always open and there was always food. Tina had a love for learning and went back later in life to achieve her Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Counseling at Sam Houston State University. She spent many of her days working in fields that complimented her nurturing and compassionate spirit. She spent many years in nursing on the labor and delivery floor at HMH, taught counseling and career services courses at Sam Houston and most recently counseled at TDCJ. She came alive in her work and loved to pass along the knowledge and experience she had gained over the years. Tina was happiest when her entire family was together. Whether the family was vacationing in Colorado, the beach, having a crawfish boil or celebrating Christmas or Thanksgiving, she was most content in the company of her husband, children and grandchildren. This was her happy place. We have many rich memories to share that will carry us through the difficult days ahead. Words cannot sum up how incredible of a woman Tina was. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nina, and friend to many. Tina's laugh, welcoming spirit, and the way she snuggled her grand babies will not be forgotten. Tina is preceded in death by her parents, David & Verla Barron; her brother, David Barron; and mother in law, Dean Ainsworth. She is survived by her husband, Martey Ainsworth; daughter Ashton Villarreal and husband Eric; daughter Jordan Czajkoski and husband Russell; son Sterling Ainsworth and wife Sarah; son Austin Ainsworth and fiancé Kelsey Kearns; Grandchildren, Drew & Cami Czajkoski, Jason & Allie Villarreal, Avery, Alyse, & Dean Ainsworth; sister, Bette Cyr; brother, Charles Barron. Visitation will be held Friday, January 7th from 5-7pm at Sam Houston memorial Funeral Home & funeral will be Saturday, January 8th at 10am at University Heights Baptist Church.
