Sharon Sue Faries Konior passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was 76 years old. She was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Leon Allen Faries Jr. and her parents Leon Allen Faries Sr. and Alta Frances Faries. Affectionally known as “Susie” by her family, Sharon was born in Orange, Texas on June 19, 1945. She moved to Houston TX in 1966, and started working in the banking industry. She had a long career at First City Bank of Highland Village in Houston before moving to Phoenix AZ and then to Denver CO to work in banking. She returned to Texas in the 1990’s and had a second career in the storage industry, with Bullseye Storage in Houston before retiring and moving to Trinity TX. Sharon is survived by her brother Paul Faries and wife Sandra Faries, brother Gary Faries and wife Diana Faries, sister Hildy Shanks and husband Scott Shanks and sister in law Lynda Faries; niece Lisa Scheffler and husband Steve Scheffler, niece Laura Mayberry and husband Aaron Mayberry, nephew Michael Faries and wife Davina Faries, nephew Sean Faries and wife Shelby Faries, niece Emily Garza and husband Rene Garza and nephew Davis Shanks; great nieces and nephews Elena, Kiki and Sam Scheffler; Jacob and Alyssa Mayberry; Gavin, Hagen and Corbin Santerre and Allen Faries; Ezra and Henry Faries. Sharon loved the Lord, her family and her friends with her whole heart. She was such a fun and joyous person and was dearly loved by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 Normal Park Dr. Huntsville Texas on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1pm. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com. At the family’s request, any one in attendance must wear a mask and social distance.
