Nolan Royce Spencer Sr

December 20, 1956 - April 7, 2021

Nolan Royce Spencer, 64, of Conroe, Texas passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born December 20, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas to Royce and Charlene Spencer. Nolan will be remembered for his passion for hunting, fishing, and taking care of others. His greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. Nolan attended Cy-Fair High School BFND 1975. In 2015 he was inducted into the Texas Lutheran University Hall of Fame as a Championship Football Team member. He raised his family in Riverside, Texas and was employed by Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 34 years. He loved to BBQ for others, especially bacon wrapped Dove. He won 1st place in best overall Chili at the TDCJ Human Resource Division cookoff one year. Nolan had a larger-than-life personality. Our lives are so much richer for having known him. Nolan is survived by his two children Nolan Spencer II and Britney Spencer and their mother Vickie Spencer. Two grandchildren Nolan Spencer III and Jacob Chimney. His mother Charlene Allcorn and her husband Bob. Sister Celise Seefluth and her husband Chance; Sister-in- law Linda Spencer. Companion Dawn Fulsher and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Nolan is preceded in death by his father Royce Allen Spencer and brother Greg Spencer Sr. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. On Thursday, April 15, 2021 graveside services will be held. The procession begins at 9:00 am from Sam Houston Funeral home. Because we will not be going into the funeral home, we ask that everyone remain in their vehicle until the procession begins. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM at Riverside Pioneer Cemetery in Riverside, Texas. It is requested by the family, that you practice social distancing and wear a mask during the service.
