Joyce Miller Weibel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joyce "Joy" Weibel, daughter of Bob and June Miller, was born April 10, 1955, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her family moved to the Chicago area where she attended New Trier High School, followed by Northern Illinois University. Joy married her high school sweetheart, Bill Weibel, on June 3, 1978 and they made their home in Houston, Texas where they raised their two boys, Matthew and David. Their family moved and traveled around the world a few times and eventually settled back in Houston. Joy loved traveling, boating, camping, taking the boys to the mountains, and many other outdoor activities, especially when it was with her family. Joy would tell you her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother. The love she possessed for Matt and David only multiplied as her family grew with each grandchild. Watching her with the kids was a true example of unconditional love and will be missed by her family the most. Joy is preceded in death by her father, Bob Miller, and her grandson, Beckett Weibel. She is survived by her mother, June, and her brothers and their spouses David and Kristen, Hagen and Diane, and Bradley Miller; Bill, her husband of 45 years, their sons and daughters-in-law Matthew and Kristen and David and Marissa Weibel, in addition to her four grandchildren: Hagen, Landon, Ethan, and Bailey Weibel. A memorial service in honor of Joy will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, TX on Wednesday June 1st at 3:00 PM.
