Helen Haines Browning Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Narcisa Elena (Helen) Haines Browning born January 9, 1930, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Benjamin Haines and Charlotte Garwood passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020, in Conroe, Texas, with loved ones by her side. Upon moving to Huntsville in the early 70’s, she worked with Huntsville Travel eventually becoming owner of Travel City Inc. in Conroe, TX. She was active in the community participating in church activities, Garden Club, and Huntsville Study Club. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garth Browning, her sisters Joan H. Fernandez, Francis H. Robles, and brother Geoffrey Haines. She is survived by her sister Anne Haines Gonzalez of Virginia, children Robert Browning of Conroe and daughter Cristina Woods, grandchildren Zachary (Melissa) Woods, Carly Woods and Ethan (Kelsey) Woods and great-grandchildren Matthew Shook, Kiley Woods and Autumn Woods all of Huntsville, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also loved by her loyal poodle companion, Snoopy. The family would like to sincerely thank Willie Lamar for her loving care and dedication to Helen during the last four years along with sincere gratitude to Jasmine Darby caring support and care provided by Debbie Tanner of VeraCare Hospice of The Woodlands. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Huntsville, TX, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
