Elvin Dean Casburn, 75, passed away suddenly at his home on November 9, 2020. It had only been 4 days since the passing of his beloved wife, Diana Lee Casburn. They were married for 44 memorable years and now will never be separated again. Dean “Deanie” was born in Anderson, Texas on December 7, 1945. Dean graduated from Montgomery High School and continued to live his life & raise his family in the area. Dean was a wonderful father, devoted Pa, beloved brother & fabulous friend to all whom knew him. He was a kind & patient man, ready to help anyone who asked and was always present in whatever his children or grandchildren could get him into. It didn’t matter if you were twirling, roping, showing livestock or playing a sport he was always right there to encourage, teach & support the activity. He loved his wife, especially loved to give her a hard time. He never once left her side even on the “bad days”. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Lee & Joyce Perry Casburn, Sister Mary Darden and Brother Ronnie Casburn. He is survived by his remaining brother Perry & wife Velma, two sons, Douglas Dean & wife Angela, Dean Joseph (DJ) & wife Rachel and his three daughters, Deana Prater & husband James, Judith Dudensing & husband Duane and Melanie Jasek & husband Brian. Pa will be missed desperately by his grandchildren: Kyle, Troy & Michael (Doug’s), Justin, Travis, Shelby & Taylor (Deana’s), Katelin, Courtney & Kacie (Judith’s), Hydee, Kody & Garrett (Melanie’s), Jillian, Cade & Logan (DJ’s) as well as multiple great grandchildren. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews & cousins who are all blessed to have had Dean in their lives. The family will be remembering his life along with Diana’s and invite you to join them for support on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
