Cecil Robert Brown

February 19, 1948 - March 18, 2022

Cecil Robert Brown left this life on earth to his final home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 18, 2022, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 74 years. Cecil was born in Huntsville, Texas on February 19, 1948, to Robert Earl Brown and Edith Marie. When Cecil was nine months old his biological father was in a fatal accident and Edith married Ray Brown who raised Cecil as his own. Our family moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1959 where he graduated from Pasadena High School in 1966. He and his family move back to Huntsville, Texas in 1971 and worked for Heil Company as a certified welder for fifteen years. He then moved to Maryville, Tennessee and retired from Alcoa in Knoxville. He then moved to Murfreesboro in Tennessee where he operated his own business as a water technology specialist. Cecil loved to work with his hands and could fix most anything that was broken. When he was very young, he would take a motor apart just so he could put it back together which made him a great mechanic. Cecil loved being outdoors, he loved to hunt, he loved to cook, he was an avid golfer, and he loved his four-legged fur babies. But most of all, Cecil Brown was a man that loved his family. A love and bond so strong that most people cannot understand. His family loves him more than life and our hearts are broken and has not yet figured out how to live without his kind and compassionate spirit and a smile that would melt your heart. Cecil was survived by his wife Robin. His daughters: Lisa Brown; Dana Holladay and late husband Larry; and Angie Bass. His son, Cecil Robert Jr., and wife Katie. Sisters: Glenda Haley, and husband Tommie. Judy Hoke and husband Floyd. Grandchildren: Justin Brown, Emerson Brown, and William Brown. Along with several nieces and nephews and cousins that he loved dearly. Cecil fought the good fight and finished the race and has kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). We know heaven is rejoicing but you will be forever missed here on earth. A memorial service will be held at Sam Houston Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Floyd Hoke officiating followed by a graveside service at Farris Cemetery officiated by Pastor Tommie Haley. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
