Carol Lukehart-Browne
December 5, 1956 - March 29, 2022
Carol Ann Lukehart Browne, 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 after a long and arduous battle with kidney failure surrounded by her loving family. Carol spent her childhood years growing up in Oklahoma. Her eagerness to learn drove her to pursue numerous studies, degrees, and travels across the world. After graduating Oklahoma City University Law School in 1982, she and her husband moved to Texas where she would practice law for 10+ years. Carol was a beautiful soul, beaming with passion and unfailing love. She poured herself into all she did - as a lawyer; as a teacher and mentor through trial and justice based courses she created and taught to gifted & talented students; as an author extraordinaire with an incredible way with words through her works 'Rainbows are Circles', 'Cabin Rules', and 'Life is Sublime Because of Minty Time'; as a volunteer, helping numerous organizations and charitable non-profits care for others in need; and as a deeply spiritual child of God through her pursuit of Christ, always seeking to love and help all that crossed her path. She continually pursued a deeper, richer understanding of God and commitment to be obedient to Him. She understood Agape love which she spread through her family, friends, and anyone she encountered. We are secured in knowing that God welcomes His good and faithful servant into His heavenly realm. So many scripture verses embody Carol's relationship with God. The verse she proclaimed as our family's verse is Deuteronomy 30:6, "and the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul that you may live." Carol is survived by her husband Richard Browne, daughter Courtney Browne, mother Patricia Lukehart, and two four-legged 'people-with-fur-on' boxer kids Scout and Maggie. A graveside service will be held in Ardmore, Oklahoma where her body will be laid to rest next to her father. We, the family, would ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the following ministries/organizations Carol was passionate about: Desiring God Ministries (https://give.desiringgod.org/), Lone Star Boxer Rescue (https://www.lonestarboxerrescue.com/info/display?PageID=4958), or Passion Conferences (https://passionconferences.com/give/).
