America Quinones de Rico

August 28, 1932 - January 14, 2022

America Quinones De Rico, 89 of San Juan, Puerto Rico joined her heavenly husband, Agustin Rico on Friday January 14, 2022, with her family at her bedside. Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted to provide the services for her. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 9 am to 10 am, with the service immediately following at 10:00 am. America was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, on August 28, 1932, the only child to Diorniso Quinones and Martina Martinez. She married Agustin Rico and raised three children. America was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She lived a long and fruitful life devoted to her family. She will be missed by both family and friends. Preceding America in death were her parents, Disorniso Quinones and Martina Martinez, her husband Agustin; her daughter Mayra Rico Sealey. America is survived by her two daughters, Vilma Rivera of Huntsville, Texas and Elba Richter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Three granddaughters, Maylin and her husband Joshua Siler; Katherine Richter, and Elka Causey; her grandson, Raymond Rivera; and great-grandaughter. The family is forever grateful to America’s daughters and granddaughter, Katherine, who were her companion and loving caregivers the last 4 years.
